Casadulce

Context

Casadulce is a well-known bakery in Villa de Leyva, Colombia – a well known touristy old town with many restaurants and little coffee shops, adorn for its colony architecture.

The owners of Casadulce wanted to redesign their corporate identity and change the interior design: they wanted something fresh that attracts all kinds of public but keeping the classic atmosphere that the architecture transmits to locals and tourists.

Work

Before conceptualising the new interior design, I conducted interviews with employees to understand their needs, especially during rush hours. Additionally, some interviews with loyal clients were conducted to keep in mind why they always come back and what they wish to have as a (new) experience.

Design

During the design phase, I worked with my team to build a concept that transmitted peace, freshness and nature. We also wanted to have warmer corners to bring families together. The production and installation happened in a period of two months.

Results

The new interior design and redesign of the corporate identity were well received by loyal and new customers. The bakery has increased its number of employees and customers since then.
